Frédéric Nolleau (1969)

Biography

Frédéric Nolleau is a graphic designer by training and by profession, but he is also a visual artist and develops his practice of drawing, painting, photography, engraving and sculpture; he is a research artist who experiments with all sorts of processes and modes of plastic expression.

His latest works are the result of a clever mix of several approaches: digital photography and pictorial techniques of pigmentation, covering, erasing and dissection.

The transformation operates under the play of materials, tints and manipulations until another proposal emerges than that of the initial photo which then transports us into an intriguing imagination.
