François BARDET (1963)

With a scientific background, François Bardet first worked as an engineer in the creation of new products and then in vehicle dynamics. He then turned to teaching and research in image processing for computer vision applications. As a self-taught artist he co-produced several shows and interactive sound installations with musicians and dancers, based on the use of gesture, between 2003 and 2009. He has also been painting with watercolors since 2000. From 2010, he began to paint with oils, which is becoming an increasingly essential part of his work.

The paintings by François offer us indoor and outdoor settings that arouse our curiosity: the desire to discover what's at the end of the street, the countryside in front of the open window, the palpable expectation of the characters depicted. A peaceful parenthesis in such a hectic world.
